More Natural Gas Fuel Coming for High-Horsepower Market in the US

Drawing a bead on the high-horsepower market, Stabilis Energy and Flint Hills Resources have joined forces to build up to five LNG liquefaction stations serving developing plays across the US. The new venture will open its first LNG production facility in January 2015 in George West, Texas, in support of E&P companies in the Eagle Ford Shale. As planned, the facility will produce up to 100,000 gallons per day for the HHP market in the Eagle Ford. Stabilis wasn't the only company last week announcing a foray into the growing HHP market. Tenaska said it is launching a marketing and development company in response to the growing use of LNG and compressed natural gas (CNG) in the transportation sector and among industries using high-horsepower engines.
