US November Natural Gas Futures Advance 7.7% in Pre-Wlnter Rally

The US November natural gas contract continued to climb last week, adding another nickel going into the weekend as the market focused on a supportive weather forecast calling for heating demand starting this week. Weather forecasts show the temperatures continuing to fall the following week for the eastern two-thirds of the US. A multi-session rally, which moved the contract up 210 to the low $3.70s by Tuesday, reignited after a break on Wednesday. By the close Friday, November gas was in the mid- to upper $3.70s having risen 7.7% over the course of the week.
