North American pipeline giant Enbridge has entered into letters of intent with Chevron USA for the possible $500 million, 190-mile expansion of its central Gulf of Mexico offshore pipeline system that would add 100 million cubic feet per day of capacity in waters up to 7,000 feet deep, the Calgary-based company said last week.
