Kogas to Sell Portion of Stake in LNG Canada

LNG pioneer Korea Gas (Kogas) is considering selling part of the 20% stake it holds in LNG Canada, the proposed Royal Dutch Shell-led LNG export megaproject on British Columbia's west coast. The South Korean state firm is the world's largest corporate buyer of LNG and, along with two other major Asian consumers, provides Shell and LNG Canada a substantial advantage over most other British Columbian LNG projects, which generally lack such impressive anchor partners/customers representing guaranteed sales.
