Boardwalk to Develop $90 Million Marcellus Gas Gathering System

Boardwalk Field Services and Southwestern Energy Production have signed a 15-year definitive gas gathering agreement that will require construction of a $90 million natural gas gathering system in Susquehanna and Lackawanna counties, Pennsylvania.The gathering system will include 26 miles of 12-inch high pressure gas pipeline, a low-pressure in-field gathering pipeline, compression and dehydration and will interconnect with Tennessee Gas Pipeline in Susquehanna County.Under the terms of the deal, Boardwalk will own and operate the gas gathering system that will support South-western's development of Marcellus Shale wells in these counties. The system will be built out over several years though no start date has been announced.
