EIA Sees Higher Winter Gas Price, But 'Slightly Lower' Consumption

After witnessing record-warm temperatures in the winter of 2012, US natural gas market players are eager to get a read on what winter may have in store for them this year. The US Energy Information Administration's Winter Fuels Outlook, published this week, attempts to do that. But its expectations for higher prices and expenditures for US gas consumers this winter are in part being overshadowed by its measured view on projected supply growth in 2014 and beyond.
