Financial, Political Uncertainties Remain for US LNG Export Plans

On the surface, things are going well for Cheniere Energy's US LNG export plans. The company signed a $3.9 billion engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract with Bechtel to build two 4.5 million ton per year liquefaction trains at the Sabine Pass receiving terminal on Louisiana's Gulf Coast.
