Quake Study Trying to Determine Cause of Oklahoma's Seismic Jump

An ongoing study looking at links between swarms of earthquakes around Oklahoma City already has one clear finding — the number of magnitude 3.0 quakes in the region has jumped and the area now appears to be very seismically active. The US Geological Survey (USGS) and the Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) have been working together to look at possible links between these earthquakes and wastewater disposal related to oil and gas production in the region.
