Marathon Oil has revealed its previously unnamed partner in Poland: Canada's Nexen. The two firms have teamed up on 10 polish concessions prospective for shale gas. Nexen has acquired a 40% working interest in 10 of Marathon's 11 concessions in Poland for an undisclosed sum. Marathon will hold a 60% operated interest moving forward while retaining a 100% stake in its 11th license. Marathon flagged the farm-out agreement in its annual report without naming its partner.
