Pricing, Access and Potential Drive Cook Inlet Gas E&P Revival

Natural gas production in southern Alaska's Cook Inlet has been dismissed for years as a dying business, as producers exited the region, well productivity declined and the Agrium fertilizer plant shut its doors. Over the last year, however, that story has started to change. State lease sales have generated record revenues, a region-wide seismic operation is under way, two jack-up rigs have been contracted and the federal government is sounding out interest in a federal offshore lease sale.
