Shell Takes Hurricane Lessons To Heart in the Gulf of Mexico

Shell Oil says it is taking additional steps to make sure that its Gulf of Mexico production facilities, pipelines and Gulf Coast refining operations are well-prepared for this year's hurricane season. Taking to heart the lessons learned from recent hurricane seasons, Shell says it has better secured mobile semi-submersible drilling rigs and has ensured it has the spare parts and technology to repair damaged offshore pipelines faster and more effectively.
