Another round of bullish storage data sent natural gas fixtures on a rally, late last week, with the September Nymex contract surging 8% on Thursday and holding onto those gains on Friday. After the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported record low storage injection for the third week in August —just 17 billion cubic feet, bringing the volume of working gas to 3,294 Bcf— the September contract shot up 21.30 on its first day in the prompt month position, settling in the upper $2.80s per million Btu.
