The governments of Canada and the Northwest Territories have issued their response to the joint review panel's report for the proposed Mackenzie Gas Project (MGP), outlining the measures the governments will take to ensure appropriate responses to respond to environmental, social, cultural and economic issues the panel raised. The action by Environment Canada and Northwest Territories was the final review necessary before the National Energy Board (NEB) can release its decision on the long-awaited 760-mile pipeline, expected by Dec. 15.
