摘要

The summers of 1989 and 2015 have a few things in common as far as the US natural gas market is concerned, namely low prices and too much supply. Today, the surplus is largely in the Marcellus and Utica Shales, plays that only a few geologists knew about in those days. In 1989, the excess was called a bubble, and it was focused in Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas and the Gulf of Mexico - which hardly count for much in today's gas market.
