The Macondo disaster was two years ago, but its memory was still very fresh on the minds of many attending the Offshore Technology Conference 2012 in Houston last week. With the Apr. 20 anniversary just a couple of weeks ago, safety was the overriding theme among the exhibitors and those attending North America's largest energy-related trade show.
