Bureau Veritas Seizing Opportunities Found in US, Canadian Energy Sector

North America's energy industry is a key part of a global expansion plan by Bureau Veritas, which has added a company from Houston and one from Vancouver to its ranks since February. Founded in 1828, France-based Bureau Veritas provides expert assistance for industries to help minimize their risks in such areas as health and safety and provides services such as inspections and audits; testing and analysis; classification and certification; as well as asset management. During a press briefing last week in Houston, Bureau Veritas Chief Executive Didier Michaud-Daniel said the company completed the acquisition of Vancouver-based Acme Labs in February giving it a foothold in Canada. The company is the number three player in the upstream minerals testing industry in Canada.
