Spectra Energy Adding 1.6 Bcf/d Pipe Capacity into US Market Mix

With an investment of about 660 million, Houston-based Spectra Energy has added about 1.6 billion cubic feet per day into its North American natural gas transmission line with projects that stretch from the southern US into Canada. Its all part of a multiyear plan to beef up the company's infrastructure as well as provide a new level of energy security for its customers, according to Spectra Energy Transmission Chief Executive Martha Wyrsch.
