Nova Scotia Gas Flows Offshore Despite Low Prices, Challenges

Nova Scotia's miniscule offshore production business is holding its own even though natural gas prices ranged from a low near $2 and a high of $14, existing operators and minnow explorers said last week at the Conference on Offshore Resources and Energy 2009 (Core '09) in Halifax. Exxon Mobil Canada recently completed a C$200 million (US$188 million) maintenance and drilling program at the Sable Offshore Energy Project, currently Nova Scotia's only source of natural gas production.
