GE and China Form Clean Energy Joint Ventures

On the eve of Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit to the US, General Electric made a bilateral relations announcement of its own, signing a five-year, joint collaboration agreement with China Huadian Corp. for distributed energy combined heat and power (DECHP) projects in China. DECHP is said to be a more efficient use of natural gas and combined heat and power facilities are located at or closer to the consumers.
