Rising Tide of CNG Fueling Stations Washing Across US

From California to the Carolinas, the rollout of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations continues as more fleet users turn away from gasoline and diesel. Helping lead the charge is Clean Energy Fuels, which was recently awarded contracts to build CNG stations in both California and New Jersey. In the Golden State, Burrtec Waste Industries has contracted with Clean Energy for a CNG fueling station in the town of Coachella. The station is expected to fuel 50 refuse trucks and dispense 520,000 gasoline gallon equivalents per year. Burrtec also awarded Clean Energy a 10-year operation and maintenance contract for the station.
