House Republicans finally got the vote on offshore drilling they were clamoring for all summer in response to high energy prices that have made energy a major pocketbook issue with the electorate. But Republican lawmakers were far from satisfied by the bill that passed the House late Tuesday night by a vote of 236-189, and aides from both parties expressed doubts energy legislation would survive the Senate this year.
