Parish Governments Mulling Local Regs for Haynesvillle Development

The governing bodies of the Northwest Louisiana parishes of Bossier,Caddo,DeSoto and Webster are studying a unified series of regulations to control development of the region's Haynesville Shale play.The rules,which would include water and road use,are being borrowed from rules set by officials in Fort Worth,Texas,to govern developments in the Barnett Shale.A commission studying the rules first has to determine what falls under state jurisdiction and what local parish governments can decide.
