Ethane-Gas Fueled Plant Planned in W. Virginia

The first power plant in the US fueled in part by ethane could soon break ground after its siting certificate was issued last week by the West Virginia Public Service Commission (WV PSC). The approval clears the way for Moundsville Power to proceed to financing the $615 million, 549-mega watt dual-fueled combined-cycle power plant, which will be built in the center of the Marcellus and Utica Shales on 37 acres south of Moundsville in Marshall County.
