Energia Costa Azul LNG Finishes Testing; First West Coast Terminal

Sempra LNG has hung the "open for business" sign out in front of its Energia Costa Azul LNG receiving terminal in Baja California after the facility completed its last round of performance tests. The facility is now ready for commercial operations and in doing so, becomes the first LNG receipt facility on the West Coast of North America, said Sempra LNG Chief Executive Darcel L. Hulse. Located 14 miles north of Ensenada, the 800 million terminal is fully contracted and capable of processing up to 1 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
