The November gas futures contract lost ground last week, falling more than a nickel into the low $3.60s after posting a 22.2-cent gain the week before. Mild shoulder-season weather, coupled with ample supply has weakened the contract, keeping it well below the $4 mark. The last time the prompt month bobbed above $4 was on Sep. 14 when the October contract closed at $4.039/MMBtu.While cooler weather gave the market some support last week, fundamentals continue to be dominated by storage.
