If there is one thing the energy industry is good at it's throwing caution to the wind and rushing headlong into the next sure thing.Perhaps it's the wildcatter legacy, but this tendency has littered the field with schemes that seemed like a good idea at the time. Even those that do succeed often find success at the end of a much more torturous road than first imagined.
