Chevron Reports Gas Find Off Australia

Chevron late last week reported another major gas find by its Australian subsidiary in the Greater Gorgon Area. San Ramon, California-based Chevron said its Satyr-4 exploration discovery well in the Carnarvon Basin off the coast of Western Australia confirmed approximately 220 feet of net gas pay. The well is in the WA-374-P1 permit area 75 miles north- west of Barrow Island. The well was drilled in 3,570 feet of water to a total depth of 15,023 feet.
