Transco Expands Capacity Serving New Gas-Fueled Plant in Alabama

Williams Partners has placed the first phase of its Transco pipeline's 85 North expansion project into service. The project will provide additional natural gas to fuel Constellation Energy's new 740-MW power plant in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Phase II of the project will increase the pipeline's capacity by the summer of 2011, serving new and existing gas-fired power plants in North Carolina.
