Intracranial aneurysm revealing a HIV infection and resolving with highly active antiretroviral therapy

Intracranial aneurysms related to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection are most frequently described in children/11 but rarely reported in adults. A 39-year-old woman, with a medical history of having received treatment for sexually transmitted infection, was admitted with fever, headache, vomiting, vertigo, and tinnitus. On examination, her temperature was 38.5°C, and she had neck rigidity, Kernig's and Brudzinski's signs, and buccal candidiasis.
