摘要

The title compound, Cd 2 (C 8 H 8 O 4 ) 2 n , crystallizes in the centrosymmetric monoclinic P 2 1 / n space group. Via cis -cyclo­hex-4-ene-1,2-di­carboxyl­ate ligands in two different binding modes, square pyramidally and penta­gonal bipyramidally coordinated Cd atoms are connected into coordination polymer layer motifs oriented parallel to the ab plane. These layered motifs are aggregated into the three-dimensional supra­molecular crystal structure of the title compound by means of crystal packing forces.
