A STUDY OF RAPIDLY HARDENED ALUMINUM ALLOYS WITH IRON AND VANADIUM

Alloys of the Al - V, Al - Fe, and Al - Fe - V systems obtained by spinning are studied with the use of methods of physicochemical analysis. The ranges of homogeneity of the formed Al-base supersaturated solid solutions are determined. The stages of decomposition of the supersaturated solid solutions and the effect of vanadium additives on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the rapidly hardened alloys are studied, including their action on the effect of precipitation hardening.
