Having successfully launched the West Qurna-2 field in Iraq, Lukoil has confirmed its interest in taking on projects in other Middle East countries, including Iran and the UAE (p1). Lukoil Overseas President Andrei Kuzyayev told a press conference in Basrah last week that the company is eyeing assets in Iran but is waiting for sanctions on the Islamic republic to be lifted.
