Russia’s Gazprom has raised the price for gas deliveries to Ukraine by 44% to $385.50 per thousand cubic meters, right at the level Ukrainian energy officials said they were willing to pay. However, the new price, which went into effect on Apr. 1, could be temporary and could rise to as high as $485.50 in the third quarter based on statements by Gazprom officials.
