JKX Flows New Gas in Ukraine, Infighting Continues

Eastern Europe-focused explorer JKX Oil and Gas has successfully completed the first development well in Ukraine’s Elizavetovskoye field, but boardroom disputes are still raging. London-listed JKX said well E-301 is now producing at a stabilized rate of 7.2 MMcf/d. The well was drilled to a depth of 3,120 meters and is the first of a five-well programme. Gas is exported to the Ukrainian gas production network. The field’s reserves were revised up in February 2013 from 300,000 barrels of oil equivalent to 3.4 million boe.
