Lubricated sintered bearings avoid the use of oil

Japanese bearing manufacturer NTN Corporation has developed Bearphite, a lubricanted bearing suitable for places where oil can't be used. Oil-impregnated sintered bearings are widely used in industrial machinery and automotive fields, but cannot be used in certain applications where the lubricant may adhere to surrounding components and cause a reduction in performance, or in hot environments where the lubricant is prone to evaporation, such as the inside of photocopiers or automobile headlights.
