Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft plans to appeal a Ukrainian court ruling upholding the nationalization of part of the firm’s oil products pipeline that ship diesel fuel via Ukraine to Hungary. Ukraine’s Rovno court last week recognized national ownership rights to sections of the Samara-Western and Grozny-Armavir-Trudovaya products pipelines running through its territory. Ukrainian authorities have disputed Transneft subsidiary Prikarpat-zapadtrans’ rights to the pipes since 2005, though a series of decisions have been made over the last year in favor of the Russian firm.
