Gazprom Sticks to $100 Oil in Gas Price Forecast

Russia’s Gazprom has revealed some details about sale prices in Europe and confirmed its average price forecast for next year based on a crude oil price of $100/bbl. Despite crude’s steep drop to around $80/bbl, the lowest level since 2010, Gazprom is still sticking to its 2015 average gas export price forecast, which is based on the price of Russia’s Urals export blend of $100/bbl. Accordingly, Gazprom’s gas prices in Europe will remain flat at this year’s levels, which the company nevertheless expects will drop to $350/Mcm ($9.72/MMBtu) from $387/Mcm in 2013, Mikhain Malgin, deputy head of Gazprom Export’s export department, said last week.
