The future of Russian crude oil pro- ducer Tatneft's interest in Ukrainian downstream joint venture Ukrtatnafta has been thrown into further uncer- tainty after the refiner was returned to state control. A recent meeting of Ukrtatnafta shareholders saw representatives of Ukrainian government-owned oil and gas firm Naftogaz receive the most votes, with Naftogaz CEO Yevgeny Bakulin appointed chairman of Ukrtatnaft's board and several offi- cials from the fuel and energy min- istry named as board members.
