Trafigura Strengthens Top Position in Russian Oil Trading

Swiss trader Trafigura is set to consolidate its status as the top independent marketer of Russian crude oil in 2016, as its strategic alliance with Rosneft goes from strength to strength. And Trafigura will soon become a prolific exporter of refined products, including gas oil and fuel oil, after securing a healthy portion of Rosneft’s offtake for next year (NC Dec.17’15). "They are the new kings of Russian oil, and you could almost say they have become Rosneft’s new special exporter," a regular buyer of Russian crude says of Trafigura. "Nobody else can touch them."
