Farm Magnate Beats Gazprom Neft to Siberian Oil Field

As expected, agriculture magnate Sergei Kislov was announced the winner of a tender for the 303 million bbl Gavrikovskoye oil field in Western Siberia, beating out Gazprom Neft. Kislov’s NZNP Trade was the only company that met one of the tender terms — the ability to process future crude oil output from Gavrikovskoye in the Rostov-on- Don region in southern Russia. There is only one processing plant in the region: the Novoshakhtinsk mini-refinery owned by Kislov’s Yug Rusi agricultural concern.
