International report A New NMI-Afghanistan

Here is some news. There is a new NMI in the world. I recently returned from a metrology-related trip to Afghanistan. Needless to say it was an eye-opener and a unique experience. I was part of a 5man team that went to Kabul for 7 seven days in late November, 2004. My task was to work with the newly created Afghan Standards, Metrology and Quality Authority (ASMQA). This new organization is part of the reconstruction of Afghanistan.
