Russia: mills’ prices for welded pipes to grow considerably in February

Considerable growth of production costs in view of increasing quotations of strips has led to higher selling prices forpipe products. Market participants report, pipes from TMK have gained $77-84/t in February (at the exchange rate $1 =RUB 29.80) and from Vyksa SW – $74-107/t. According to traders, NLMK has raised pipe quotations by $84-91/t. Atthe same time, prices for welded pipes from MMK have climbed by $111/t. Severstal, in turn, has pushed Februaryoffers of welded pipes up by $43-65/t. Hollow sections from Sheksna TPZ have added $48-57/t. Besides, MetalserviceSiberia has increased quotations of round welded pipes fromKuzmin SW by $37-74/t and for hollow sections – $13-20/t, whileTrubostal (St. Petersburg) has lifted offers of round pipes by $71-75/t and hollow sections – $72-96/t. Products from Borsky Pipehave gained $37-50/t, Profil-Akras – $34/t.
