MMK (Russia) runs flat-rolling facilities at steady rates

Russia’s MMK plans to run its main flat-rolling facilities at last month’s rates in March. The producer intends tomanufacture 760,000-790,000 t of HR, CR and coated products (excluding tinplate), up 2-4% m-o-m.Production of merchant HR sheets is planned at 600,000-620,000 t, up 2-3% m-o-m. However, the production targetmay be revised downwards in view of declining buying activity in the markets of the Middle East, Iran in particular.
