India: demand remains weak both for local and import flats

Indian suppliers of flat steel have done their best to level the domestic pricesout. Thus, taking into account slack demand and high stocks, home producerssuch as Uttam Galva cut their production rates as early as in June. Luckily,their policy has already brought good results: domestic prices for flats havebeen staying unchanged in national currency for three weeks.
