In spite of the downward trend in the construction steel market practically allover Southern Europe, the Greek market for longs remains stagnant. Greekproducers and traders are becoming more pessimistic due to the generaleconomic crisis aggravated by the strike of heavy vehicle drivers which hascontinued for the third week in a row and paralyzed the main motorways ofthe country. Since demand for long products is almost non-existent due toimpossibility to deliver the material to customers, there is no sense in revisingthe prices.
