Vietnamese flats market has faced a price boom. Foreign suppliers have managed to increase prices by $85-100/tover the month, referring to skyrocketing quotations and irregular supply of slabs as well as limited supply of HR flats.Only Chinese players, who were ahead of the upward trend in the region, have tamed their appetite now: since theirstock levels have grown somewhat during the holidays, they have put offers up only by $30-55/t compared to thesecond half of January. At the same time, local buyers’ bids are by $20-30/t lower than initial prices.
