Azov-Black Sea ports handle 28 mt of cargo in September; transshipment of steel products, coal and iron ore slumps, grain handling hits historical high

The Azov-Black Sea ports handled 27.8 mt of various cargoes inSeptember, down 788,000 t from the record high results of August(28.6 mt). Transshipment of ore cargoes and coal dropped by asmuch as 450,000 t on average, ferrous raw material handling havingdecreased as well. In September, it was only transshipment offertilizers and grain that increased substantially, up by 215,000 t.Russian ports reloaded 16.3 mt (up 162,000 t) of different cargoes.A major rise (up 406,000 t) at the Taman ports counterbalanced adrop at the Gulf of Taganrog ports (down 116,000 t).
