In mid-December, trade and demand for small-tonnage vessels have gone upin the Azov-Black Sea and Mediterranean freight market. Most charterers aretrying to execute contracts before the holidays begin and keep stepping up exportsof major cargoes. Shipowners, in their turn, are forcing freight and time-charterrates up. So, time-charter ones have added $150/day on average over the week.In the Baltic and North Seas, vessel rental fees are largely the same as before.
