In late September, major cargoes are shipped with the same frequency inlarge and small lots in the freight market of the Black Sea. Vessels available inthe market are quite ample to service the existing cargo traffic, but manyshipowners still want to increase freight rates. Freighters, in their turn, haveadopted a wait-and-see attitude and do not ship large volumes at high quotations.Steel products and semis, coal, grain cargoes and mineral fertilizers are activelytransported at the moment. The price for a 5,000 t steel product shipment fromOdessa to the ports of the Marmara Sea is $19.5/t, unchanged from last week.
