摘要

If an electric current passes through a liquid metal containing foreign particles with different electroconductivities, electromagnetohydrodynamical flows arise in the liquid metal. The driving force of the convection is the spatial Lorentz force. In the case of dissolution of the inclusion matter in the liquid, the electroconvective diffusion occurs. The criterion for describing the electroconvective diffusion can be given by the Sherwood number Sh. Two systems are taken as objects for describing the mentioned phenomenon, namely Cu_(sol.)-Al_(liq.) and Ni_(sol.)-Al_(liq.); the computations are accomplished and experimental data are given.
